Cookie policy
Version 1.2 · Last updated: 15 October 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in the user’s browser to remember information from one page to the next or between visits. Some similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), do the same job and are treated in the same way in this policy.
2. Which cookies campus.cesgen.com uses
The campus only uses technical cookies, which are needed for signing in, the student account, enrolment, the basket and payment to work. These cookies are exempt from the requirement to obtain consent (Article 22(2) of Spanish Law 34/2002, LSSI), because they are strictly necessary to provide the service the user requests. Even so, we tell you about them.
The campus does not use analytics, advertising or social media cookies. Anyone who only browses the public pages, without signing in or adding courses to the basket, receives no cookies.
2.1. WordPress cookies (signing in)
| Cookie | What it is for | Duration |
|---|---|---|
wordpress_logged_in_[code] | Shows that the user has signed in and who they are | Until the browser is closed or 2 days; 14 days if “Remember me” is ticked |
wordpress_[code] and wordpress_sec_[code] | Secure authentication in restricted areas | As above |
wordpress_test_cookie | Checks that the browser accepts cookies when signing in | Session |
wp_lang | Remembers the language chosen on the sign-in screen | Session |
wp-settings-[ID] and wp-settings-time-[ID] | Remember display preferences of signed-in users | 1 year |
2.2. WooCommerce cookies (basket and payment)
| Cookie | What it is for | Duration |
|---|---|---|
wp_woocommerce_session_[code] | Links the user to their basket | 2 days |
woocommerce_cart_hash | Detects changes to the basket | Session |
woocommerce_items_in_cart | Shows whether the basket contains courses | Session |
store_notice[ID] | Remembers that a shop notice has been closed (only if a notice is active) | Session |
WooCommerce also keeps a copy of the basket contents in the browser’s storage (wc_cart_hash_…, wc_fragments_…) to show it without reloading the page. It is deleted when the tab is closed.
2.3. Course platform and server cache cookies
These are only stored when the user has signed in.
| Cookie | What it is for | Duration |
|---|---|---|
stm_lms_courses_watched | The course platform (MasterStudy) remembers which course pages the user has viewed so the same visit is not counted twice | 900 days (about two and a half years) |
wevarnishpass | Tells the server cache (Webempresa) not to show stored pages to a signed-in user, so they see their account and courses up to date | 100 minutes |
2.4. Third-party services needed for the service
| Service | When it acts | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe (payment) | Only on the payment page | The Stripe script may store the cookies __stripe_mid (1 year) and __stripe_sid (30 minutes) to prevent card payment fraud; they are needed to pay securely. Stripe processes these data under its privacy policy. |
| Bunny.net (videos) | Only when a course video is played | The player receives the IP address to serve the video and may remember preferences such as volume or quality in the browser. |
3. How to manage or delete cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings:
If technical cookies are blocked, you will not be able to sign in, access the courses or complete a purchase.
4. Changes
If in the future the campus were to use cookies that are not technical (for example, analytics cookies), consent will be requested first through a notice and this policy will be updated. Information on the processing of personal data is in the Privacy policy.
